She is also more active and self-disciplined in learning. Thanks to your help, her English has improved gradually and she is very excited for your teaching each week."
Nhu Hang Ton Nu, Vy Da Vietnam
"At the beginning, Lam Tien was a little shy but Andy made her feel comfortable right away. She looks forward to her lessons every Sunday and enjoys learning more in school. Her teacher has noticed that she speaks up more in class and her English sounds very natural. Thank you Andy for providing Lam Tien with this incredible opportunity."
Program Offerings
Tutors for a Cause offers a mix of interactive online and in person programs for students interested in learning how to read and speak English. We collaborate with local college students and LISC, an education and technology company, which provides curriculum and lesson planning support.

Pre-K to Kindergarten
Our first program focuses on reading and singing songs for children in Pre-K and Kindergarten. The class starts out with reading a favorite childhood picture book followed by teaching an easy song (ex. The ABCs, The Wheels on the Bus). Our goal is to provide a super animated and upbeat class and provide children with a fun time as they begin to learn English.

1st to 6th Grade
Students are taught in person by local college students through our program to learn English phrases and grammar. Our online tutors in the U.S. then review the lesson they learned and ensure their pronunciation and grammar are up to par. We move into a simple conversation in which the goal is to let the children not only practice what they’ve learned, but also to help them build a friendship with the tutors.

1:1 Tutoring
Private 1:1 tutoring is offered for students that desire to accelerate their English skills, with an emphasis on conversational speaking. Sessions are led online by US-based high school students. Reading comprehension and enrichment tutoring are also available.
